Most of our Workhorses come to the space during “normal” working hours, most often defined (and jauntily reinforced in the famous Dolly Parton song) as 9ish-5ish Monday through Friday. But a few super Workhorses work after hours and on the weekends, fully utilizing the 24/7 access allotted to Hot Desk, Dedicated Desk, and Dedicated Office members. Whether you’re looking for a work break during one of your weekend longhauls, live locally, or want to immerse yourself in the Edmonds community further, one of the very best ways you can spend a few hours is by enjoying the Edmonds Summer Market.
You don’t have to figure out how to navigate it alone, though. Stick with us as we tell you all about how we’d put together a perfect day at the Edmonds Summer Market.

But First, A Little History of The Edmonds Summer Market
A beloved local tradition hosted by the Edmonds Historical Museum since the first Clinton administration (aka 1994, and psst, Workhorses—the Market entrance is right next to the museum!), the Edmonds Summer Market draws visitors from across the water and vendors from throughout the county and beyond.
Running from May to October each year with nearly 100 vendors, it’s the perfect weekend respite from your focused work sessions. Stroll and shop from 9am-2pm every Saturday while supporting local, family-owned businesses that super-align with our community values.
Every farmer you’ll meet grows or raises everything they bring, and all producers, artists, and crafters personally make their wares. You won’t find resellers or imported goods here—the Edmonds Summer Market is proudly, refreshingly local. When hunger strikes during your market adventure, grab a slice of pizza or cup of coffee, depending on which entrance you used (we recommend both, because why choose?). Whatever you land on, it’s the ideal way to recharge your creative batteries before heading back to your desk (or home) with fresh inspiration and a bag of farm-fresh goodies, and gorgeous florals that will help you meet lots of new friends who come over to oooh and ahhh!
8 Must-Visit Edmonds Summer Market Vendors
Alvarez Organic Farms
For over 40 years, this family operation from over the mountains has maintained traditional farming practices. Their commitment to biodiversity is unmatched (and they provide veggies to a lot of local restaurants). Stop by their booth for a HUGE display of 200+ pepper varieties and 300+ vegetable varieties all certified organic for more than three decades. They won’t have everything there, but they will have a lot. As a Workhorse who values quality fuel for your productive day, you’ll really appreciate their hand-tended, chemical-free produce. And don’t sleep on their spring onions!
Chaztown Jerky
Spice fan? This veteran and minority-owned small business makes premium jerky that’s both delicious and nutritious. Their signature Baby’s Breath flavor combines global teriyaki blends to create tender, filet mignon-like jerky that’s high in protein while staying low in sodium and sugar, while their Dragon’s Breath will have you fanning your mouth. Grab a few bags of this guilt-free, flavorful snack that offers the perfect alternative to typical junk food. Plus, you’re supporting another local business, which is always a bonus.
Collins Family Orchards
This fourth-generation family farm brings the finest tree fruits from Selah, WA straight to the Edmonds Summer Market. Quality obsessed, the Collins family hand-prunes, thins, and harvests each piece of fruit at peak ripeness—never rushing the process. Wanna try something new? Grab a hybrid variety like a pluot or aprium. And don’t be afraid to sample their latest fruit innovations while you’re hanging at the booth and filling multiple bags of apples, stone fruits, and more.
The Cottage, Community Bakery
If you’ve been around a while, you already know we love The Cottage and bring in treats from Conor and his team quite frequently! If you want to stock up for yourself without driving over to Perrinville or popping over to Ace Hardware, find the team at the Summer Market. They’ll even give your kiddos free pretzel knots!
The passion project of Conor O’Neill, this local bakery grew from French-inspired techniques and locally-milled Palouse flours into the neighborhood favorite it is today. What started as a driveway bread giveaway in Lynnwood expanded into wildly popular weekend pop-ups with lines of eager locals, before finally opening their Perrinville storefront in 2021. If you’re a Workhorse who wants honest, artisanal sourdough breads and pastries to fuel productive workdays (or any day), The Cottage’s naturally leavened menu offers the perfect blend of old-world tradition and local connection.
Gypsy Rows
You can’t miss Gypsy Rows at the Summer Market—just look for the crowd-pleasing ’67 GMC shorty school bus that serves as their mobile farm stand! This Silvana-based row crop farm brings ultra-fresh lettuce and carrots harvested the very same morning. The vintage bus creates such a fun moment that musicians often set up right alongside it, creating the perfect soundtrack for your veggie shopping. Enjoy this festive farmer’s market experience while stocking up on the freshest produce for your week’s meals.
Pete’s Perfect Toffee
We all need a little something sweet to get us through the day, don’t we? Pete’s Perfect Toffee makes hand-made treats using an old family recipe and only the finest local ingredients—from Guittard Chocolate to Washington State butter. This family-owned company brings their famous toffee and fudge to the Summer Market, offering Workhorses the perfect afternoon pick-me-up or desk-side indulgence.
Skagit Gourmet Mushrooms
Skagit Gourmet Mushrooms, founded in 2014 by Mark Rickard, is a family-owned farm located in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, in the heart of the Skagit Valley. The farm produces a variety of gourmet mushrooms, including Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, Pioppini, Cinnamon Cap, and several types of Oyster mushrooms. When you see their beautiful display at the Summer Market, you’ll notice how fresh their locally grown mushrooms are. They’re often harvested just days before the market. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or a home cook, the farm’s friendly staff is always ready to offer cooking tips and recipe suggestions to help you make the most of your mushroom purchase. Trust us—they’ve given us some awesome steak and mushroom, and even soup ideas!
Vespucci Pizza
Get to know Sam and his friendly Italian team next time you hit up the market. You can’t miss them: Vespucci Pizza operates a wood-fired oven fueled by apple wood from Yakima, enhancing the flavor profile of their pizzas. They collaborate with local farmers like Skagit River Ranch and SnoValley Mushrooms to source fresh, seasonal ingredients, ensuring each pizza is both authentic and sustainable. We didn’t include them in our pizza roundup because they’re not in Edmonds all year, but they’re (by far) our favorite. @ us 🙂

FAQ
Q: How long is the Market open for?
A: The Edmonds Summer Market runs May through October every year. For the 2025 season, the Market’s hours are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. (we like to visit right at the opening for the best selection, but you can go any time that works for you).
Q: When is the best time to go to the Edmonds Summer Market?
A: We would go right at the beginning for the best selection and right at the end for the best deals, but the Summer Market is awesome any time you go. However, it’s busiest right in the middle (lunch timeframe).
Q: Do most vendors take card or only cash?
A: Most vendors are cashless, in our experience, but some floral vendors are cash only or charge a fee for card usage. Bring both!
Q: Is there any entrance fee to the Farmers Market?
A: Nope, the Edmonds Summer Market is free for all, although museum donations are always appreciated.
Q: How close is Workhorse to the Summer Market?
A: Workhorse is on 2nd and Main. The Summer Market is on 5th & Main, about three blocks up Main Street from Workhorse. It continues up to 6th.
