The Perfect Downtown Edmonds Date Night

The Perfect Downtown Edmonds Date Night

Feb 23, 2026

If you’re planning a date night in Edmonds, or planning to plan a date night in Edmonds, you’re in the right place. Whether you’re looking for a first-date spot that is just fancy enough, an anniversary dinner worth remembering, or a fun evening out with your favorite person, downtown Edmonds has the spot for you—and you won’t even need to move your car.

From craft cocktails and natural wine to gelato under the stars and activities that’ll give you something to talk about besides the weather, we’ve mapped out date night ideas in Edmonds that work for every mood and budget. Let’s make it a good one.

Activities

Edmonds Theatre

Edmonds Theater Logo

Before you grab dinner, catch a first-run movie at the Edmonds Theatre, a single-screen cinema that’s been operating since 1923. This indie theater has super affordable tickets ($10 for general admission), real butter on the popcorn (that’s popped using coconut oil), and a balcony section for 18+ guests. The historic theater shows current releases in a classic setting, and it’s now showing a whole series of Throwback Thursday movies. It’s the perfect low-key date night activity in Edmonds.

Pro tip: Grab tickets for an earlier showtime, then walk to dinner afterward. Most of our favorite restaurants are just a few blocks away.

415 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020

Glazed and Amazed

Want to try something more hands-on? Head to Glazed and Amazed, a paint-your-own-pottery and glass-fusing studio on Main Street. Pick out a mug, bowl, or plate from their selection, spend an hour decorating it together, and come back in 8-10 days to pick up your finished piece.

This is a great option for couples (or besties) who want to do something creative without the pressure of a formal class. No reservations needed—just walk in, choose your piece, and get messy. Plus, you’ll have a tangible reminder of the date every time you use your custom pottery.

514 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020

Edmonds Art Walk

Edmonds Art Walk Logo

On the second Thursday of every month, downtown Edmonds shows out for Art Walk. Galleries, shops, and businesses stay open late and often highlight work from local artists, host live music, and throw special events. It’s free, it’s walkable, and it gives you an excuse to explore parts of downtown you might not have discovered yet.

Art Walk is one of those date night ideas in Edmonds that works whether you’re artsy or not—it’s really just a fun way to stroll around, grab a drink, and see what’s happening in town.

Drinks

Bar Americano

Logo

If you’re in the mood for vintage vibes and craft cocktails, Bar Americano is the place for you. This Italian cocktail bar on 5th Ave S serves rotating drinks, N/A options, beer, wine, and bar snacks in a cozy space with a great patio. They host DJ nights and themed parties, making it a lively spot to start (or end) your evening.

Bar Americano is the kind of place where the bartenders know their stuff, the playlist is always on point, and the atmosphere feels effortlessly cool without trying too hard.

612 5th Ave S, Edmonds, WA 98020

Kelnero

Kelnero Logo

Locals know Kelnero as one of the best craft cocktail bars in the Pacific Northwest—and it happens to be right here in downtown Edmonds. Owners Kris and Kali Kelnero (yes, that’s their real last name) have created a cozy spot with handmade live-edge wood tables, live piano music, a large deck, and sneaky side rooms perfect for date nights.

The menu boasts over 50 cocktails, many of them Kelnero originals made with local, seasonal ingredients. If you’re not sure what you want, the staff will help you find your perfect drink—whether that’s a classic concoction or something wildly unusual you’ve never heard of before.

We mentioned Kelnero briefly in our Happy Hour guide, but this place deserves more than a one-time applause. It’s a treasure, and the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’re a real Edmonds insider.

545 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020

Vinbero

From the same team behind Kelnero comes Vinbero, a natural wine bar named after the Esperanto word for “grape.” This cozy spot specializes in natural wines, artisan cheeses, and small plates—basically everything you need for a relaxed evening that feels special but not stuffy.

Vinbero is perfect if you want a more low-key date night in Edmonds. Grab a seat, order a bottle (or a glass), put together a cheese board, and just enjoy each other’s company. Sometimes that’s all you need.

We featured Vinbero in our relaxation and recharge guide, and we stand by it: this is where you go when you want to slow down and savor the moment.

Dinner

Fire & The Feast

Fire and The Feast Logo

If you’re intrigued by the idea of Pacific Northwest Italian, Fire & The Feast delivers. Their stone-fired pizzas are great for sharing, their pasta is house-made, and the drinks are thoughtfully crafted. The Pepperoni & Calabrian Honey Pizza has a cult following for good reason—it’s sweet, spicy, and salty all in one bite.

This is a great option if you want something a little more casual than Salt & Iron (more on them below), but still special enough to feel like date night. The atmosphere is lively without being loud, and the location on Main Street makes it easy to walk to dessert afterward.

Leftcraft

Leftcraft logo

If you’re in the mood for West Coast-inspired food in a modern, neighborhood setting, Leftcraft is your move. This downtown Edmonds spot strikes the perfect balance between homestyle comfort food and healthier options, celebrating the abundant ingredients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Their menu keeps things local, fresh, and sustainable with regularly rotating seasonal dishes. The full bar features signature cocktails and 26 regionally-focused rotating craft selections. The space itself is comfortable and creative—special enough to feel like a date night, relaxed enough that you don’t need to dress up. It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re celebrating an anniversary or just craving a really good meal.

424 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020

Salt & Iron

Salt and Iron logo

Salt & Iron has earned its reputation as one of downtown Edmonds’ go-to date night spots. Located right in the heart of Main Street, this restaurant takes care with their menu, supports the community, and creates an atmosphere that works for both celebrations and casual dinners.

Start with oysters if you’re into that (and they’re fresh and fantastic), move on to burrata for an appetizer, and consider their signature salt and iron dish—steak with scallops, shrimp, garlic whipped potatoes, green beans, and chimichurri. End with an affogato and call it a perfect night.

We featured Salt & Iron in our best dinners in downtown Edmonds roundup, and it remains one of our favorites for a dining experience that feels both elevated and welcoming.

SanKai

For sushi lovers, SanKai is the go-to. Sushi master Ryuichi Nakano (of Kisaku and I Love Sushi fame) runs this beautiful spot that sources as locally as possible—sometimes from the Edmonds Marina itself.

From rolls to omakase, SanKai is a pretty transformative dining experience. They take great care with each customer, and the quality of the fish speaks for itself. This is where you go when you want to impress your date or celebrate something special.

111 4th Avenue North, Edmonds, WA 98020

Niles Peacock Kitchen & Bar

Niles Peacock kitchen & Bar Logo

Stone-fired pizzas, James Beard Foundation-celebrated cocktails, and a waterfront location? Niles Peacock checks all the boxes for a memorable date night in Edmonds. Their sourdough crust recipe comes from Sourdough Willie’s in Kingston, and locals rave about pies like the My Hot Date (whole milk mozzarella, olive oil, gorgonzola, and dates).

The cocktails are the real stars here, though. Niles Peacock’s bar program is award-winning, so don’t skip the drinks menu when you visit.

178 Sunset Ave S, Edmonds, WA 98020

P.S. Special shouts to Epulo Bistro at Salish Crossing and Charcoal, too. We love them. We just couldn’t fit everyone in this guide. Find them in our dinners guide.

Dessert

Canarino Gelato Caffe

If you want to extend the evening with something sweet, Canarino in Hazel Miller Plaza serves made-fresh-daily gelato with rotating flavors that always surprise and delight. They also have affogatos because of course they do—it’s the perfect way to end an Italian-inspired night.

Canarino is just a short walk from most of the restaurants and bars on this list, making it an easy final stop before heading home.

203 5th Avenue South, Suite 4, Edmonds, WA 98020

Molly Moon’s

For classic ice cream with a Pacific Northwest twist, Molly Moon’s at Main Street Commons is the place. Whether you’re in the mood for their “Always” flavors (Honey Lavender, Melted Chocolate, Yeti) or want to splurge on a sundae, Molly Moon’s never disappoints.

We featured Molly Moon’s in our best ice cream in Edmonds guide, and it remains a downtown anchor for a reason. It’s the kind of place where locals bring their out-of-town guests, first dates turn into second dates, and everyone leaves smiling.

558 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020
