A convenient 20-minute drive from Seattle, getting to Edmonds is a breeze for anyone in or near Snohomish or King County—from Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood to Shoreline, Seattle, and Everett. Bonus: You don’t have to pass through the seven levels of the candy cane forest or through the sea of swirly twirly gumdrops to get here! (Thankfully, Buddy the Elf has those routes covered.)

We’re proud to be part of the beautiful Edmonds community, and our barn-chic space offers a festive backdrop for holiday parties of up to 50 people at any one moment. Exposed brick, reclaimed wood tables, and iron and steel accents perfectly complement any holiday-inspired color scheme—from traditional shades of red, green, silver, and gold to rich jewel tones like plum, magenta, and teal.

During the holiday season, we also set up a real tree and deck our halls with string lights that add a touch of wonder to Workhorse. And we’re not talking about a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, either! Our annual evergreen gets the star treatment—pun intended—and is outfitted with ornaments and twinkling lights (exactly as it should be).

Holiday Party FAQ

Q: Does Workhorse have a kitchen? 

A: Yes, we have a kitchen with a microwave, sink, dishwasher and refrigerator to store a few food items and drinks. We do not have a stove or oven. 

Q: Does Workhorse provide plates, cups, and cutlery? 

A: We have those things available in small quantities. For parties, however, we recommend you bring your own disposable plates, cups, and cutlery. 

Q: Can we play music? 

Yes. A/V support is $50 per event. It includes bluetooth connection to our ceiling speakers and a drop-down screen you can use to run a slideshow or show a movie, game, or show. Alternatively, you can bring in your own speakers. We’ve hosted parties with DJs, keyboarads, and even a mariachi band!

 Q: Can we bring our own decorations?

Yes, please do. And please use blue tape if you’re taping anything to the wall.  

Q: Is Workhorse kid-friendly? 

Yes and no. We’ve hosted plenty of kid parties, but first and foremost, Workhorse is a work space. It is not a playground. Kids must be supervised at all times while in the space.  

Q: What are the best holidays to have a party?

A: The best holidays to have a party are the ones that you love! Christmas, Hanukkah, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day—even National Donut Day!  

Q: How long should a holiday party last?

A: We recommend you index on the side of giving yourself too much time. That means adding an hour more than you think you need for setup and breakdown. We’ve hosted everything from two hour workshops to full-day events. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need advice on how much time to plan for: events@joinworkhorse.com.  

Q: How much should a company spend on a holiday party?

A: We can’t comment on your budget, but what we can say is we’re usually willing to work within your budget. Edmonds businesses and members enjoy a discount on hosting events in the space.
