Meet Maha

Maha, Workhorse Site Manager

Can you tell us a bit about your role at Workhorse? What do you do, and what do you love about it?

I’m a site manager here at Workhorse.

I take care of a lot of things like:

  • Answering calls, texts, and emails
  • Creating fun & visually interesting flyers for our upcoming events!
  • Collecting and inputting mail/packages into our system
  • Making sure our space stays in order
  • Booking conference rooms if our members need help
  • Showing potential new members around the space
  • And lots more!

I love getting to know new people, helping them, and understanding what everyone does in their field of work. One of the best parts of joining the Workhorse team is that it’s really pushed me to get out of my shell! It’s been fun to be a part of a small team working together to organize and accomplish tasks and goals.

What other jobs did you have before Workhorse? What did they teach you that helps you in your role now?

Working in design has helped me have a good eye for small details and staying organized! I have experience in various design fields, including freelance graphic design, freelance interior design, and visual merchandising in retail. My background in design has honed my attention to detail and organizational skills.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself? What are your interests and hobbies? What’s a fun fact?

Journey the cat

I was born and raised in Bellevue, Washington. Both my parents are Lebanese! I also lived in Abu Dhabi (UAE) for 15 years and studied there and met my now fiancé there. I lived on and off in London for a year until I ultimately decided to make a permanent move back to the US and start a fiancé visa. We’ll get married once my fiancé arrives—keep your fingers crossed for us. I’m actually working with one of the members to help with our fiancé visa, and I am so grateful for it.

My main hobby is gaming! I love all kinds of games from different genres. One of my all time favorite games is a farming sim called Stardew Valley! I love unwinding on the couch playing my fave games with my cat Journey.

I also recently enrolled in a ceramics class this October and I’m very excited to learn more! I love anything art-related and trying new ways to express myself.

What drew you to Workhorse? What’s your favorite thing about it?

What attracted me most to Workhorse was its unique, one-of-a-kind location and the appeal of a smaller-scale business. I’ve found this environment provides a great opportunity to learn a diverse range of skills, rather than being confined to a single role.

Anything else you want to share with the community?

I’ve genuinely enjoyed being a part of this community, contributing to its growth, and growing with it. It’s been a wonderful experience, and I eagerly anticipate the year ahead!

Meet Lindi

Lindi, Site Manager at Workhorse

Can you tell us a bit about your role at Workhorse? What do you do, and what do you love about it?

I wear a few different hats—I’m part site manager with Maha, which means handling the office day to day inquiries (giving tours, showing offices, managing member needs), scheduling meetings, supporting accounting, and part event coordinator. I really love booking events and giving tours, and being creative with the space. Workhorse is a unique place that’s really fun to talk about and show off.

What other jobs did you have before Workhorse? What did they teach you that helps you in your role now?

Before this I was a buyer; I went from buying textiles and fashion products to luxury travel hotel items to airplane parts at Boeing. I was building my resume based on working up the corporate ladder but had an epiphany one day that my passion was and always has been small business. Over the years, I learned how to stay organized, problem solve, and be professional. I think all of these attributes can help you in any job, big or small.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself? What are your interests and hobbies? What’s a fun fact?

Lindi, Workhorse Site Manager

I’m a PNW native from Bellingham, WA and spent a good part of my 20s in Alaska for the summer, and Mexico and Hawaii for the winter. I eventually landed back in Seattle (many different neighborhoods) but I now reside in Lake Forest Park where I have a lovely garden, sweet boyfriend, and two cute rescue dogs. My current hobby (I have SO many) is thrifting for themed table decor and hosting friends and family. One fun fact is that I am scuba certified and the last trip I went on, I went cave diving (cenote) in Mexico.

What drew you to Workhorse? What’s your favorite thing about it?

The Edmonds community drew me here and it continued to evolve from there. Workhorse brings the element of getting to know so many different people in different fields—we’re all hustlin’ out here and it’s a vibrant energy.

Anything else you want to share with the community?

I really encourage you all to come to our member events! There’s always great connections that come from them and we put a lot of thought and effort into making it special for you, with local vendors and relevant themes. If you have any ideas on how to improve or have a specific idea in mind, please come and chat with me!

Workhorse is Built by Workhorses for Workhorses

Six years into this coworking thing, our mission is unwavering: We pull harder together. Maha and Lindi are arguable the most important part of our small, hardworking team. Please be kind to them, put your dishes in the dishwasher (or wash them) so you can show them how much you respect all they do, and don’t be afraid to come up and chat with them about anything you read here.

Thank you, Maha and Lindi, for sharing your lives and skills with our community. We appreciate you!
