Member Spotlight: Gillian Young

We knew Gillian was a Workhorse when we met her last year. She told us how she walked the ferry line to fill rooms at a local hotel, and we thought, That is the kind of energy we want at Workhorse. Eventually, the stars aligned, and Gillian came to work with us to spread the good word about coworking in Edmonds. 

We sat down with her to learn more about her, her business, and, of course, her dogs. 

Can you tell us a bit about your work? What do you do, and what do you love about it?

Sales, marketing, and networking have always been my passion. I have a background in real estate and corporate sales. I created my own marketing business last October,  specializing in networking and social media marketing. I enjoy connecting people both in real life and on social. 

Can you tell us a bit about yourself? What are your interests and hobbies? What’s a fun fact?

I am married to the love of my life, and we have two dogs: Ginger (18) and Gino (5)—both rescues. I enjoy people and love spending time in Edmonds and meeting new people. A fun fact is that I collect Starbucks city mugs and currently have 24 from all over the world. 

What drew you to Workhorse? What’s your favorite thing about it? What problems does it help you solve?

What drew me to Workhorse are the people! The people who work from Workhorse (and who run the business) are amazing and the connections here have grown my business in a way I would never have expected. Workhorse has created a space for me to come and connect with people with the same entrepreneurial mindset. It’s truly the hub of business in Edmonds.
